Emily Lane, P.E.

As Director of Traffic and Transportation Services, Emily leads a talented team of designers and engineers dedicated to delivering effective traffic and transportation solutions.

She works closely with project managers across IDS to serve a wide range of public and private clients, while also managing projects directly to ensure quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.

With more than two decades of experience in civil engineering, Emily specializes in traffic engineering studies, intersection design, signal design, and full roadway design. Her technical expertise, combined with her proactive communication style, allows her to successfully guide complex projects from planning through implementation.

Emily is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas and earned her bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University. Outside of the office, you can find her at a ball field with her husband, cheering on her three children. If she’s not at the fields, she is likely camping or riding ATVs with her family.
