Chad Abram, P.E.

As Chad Abram reflects on his career here at IDS, over 25 years and counting, he always comes back to one thing— good people building a positive foundation. Good people attracted him to IDS, and now as Senior Vice President, Chad is dedicated to maintaining that foundation to facilitate the success of the firm, the people who make it up, and the clients we serve.

Chad came to Engineering through Architecture at first, but the career shift was easy. Engineering gave him the opportunity to solve complex problems, tapped into his love of math, and still gave him the chance to work with his main interest—structures. During his career, serving as District Engineer for several MUDs introduced him to the importance of building honest and meaningful relationships with our fellow consultants and our clients.

He looks forward to contributing to our continued and purposeful growth on our journey to provide opportunities for our people and ever-improving service to our clients.

Chad is devoted to his life inside and outside the office. When he isn’t tending to his family, or losing tennis matches to his daughter, he tends to his yard.
