Brian Gerould, P.E.

Chief Engineer

Brian has 20 years of experience in the design and project management of utility district and residential land development projects in the greater Houston area. He has designed site grading, water distribution, sanitary sewer collection, stormwater drainage, stormwater detention, stormwater quality, lift stations, and roadways to serve various types of land uses.

He currently serves as chief engineer for IDS. In this role, he is responsible for maintaining and improving the QA/QC program for all public works, land, and site development projects. He personally participates in QA/QC milestone meetings and manages the firm’s standard design procedures, design details, construction contracts, and technical specifications.

Prior to his role as Chief Engineer for the firm, Brian served as a district engineer for several Municipal Utility Districts. As district engineer, Brian oversaw all engineering efforts within the district including; improvements to water and wastewater treatment plants, rehabilitation and replacement of water tanks, sanitary sewer collection system rehabilitation and extension, water line replacement and extensions, review of commercial development design, and creation of capital improvement plans. All this experience has contributed to Brian’s attention to detail and knowledge of a wide range of civil engineering challenges.

Outside the office Brian and his wife can be found at the softball diamond watching their daughter compete. Brian is a competitor himself, having completed over 20 triathlons, including IRONMAN Texas in The Woodlands.
