IDS Receives Perfect Score on City of Houston Performance Evaluation

IDS recently received a perfect score of 60 out of 60 on a performance evaluation conducted by the City of Houston. The evaluation is used to measure and score design elements such as responsiveness and cooperativeness; meeting schedule demands; QA/QC; accuracy and completeness; and achieving the best-value design with cost effective and innovative solutions per the intentions of the CIP goal. The performance evaluation was completed on the Phase I (PER design) and Phase II (PS&E) of the Southpark and Southcrest Area Drainage and Paving Improvements project. This project consisted of the design and construction of storm drainage improvements including necessary concrete paving, curbs, sidewalks, driveways, and underground utilities to serve the Southpark/Southcrest area on several streets. Improvements also included the removal and replacement of the existing storm sewer drainage system with a new, upsized system to alleviate local flooding within the neighborhood. The scope of this project included full pavement replacement, as well as, the replacement of old waterlines ranging in size from 6-inches to 12-inches.
